My Review
This book in 8 words of less …

For the first time I am trying something new … reviewing a book while I’m reading it. Usually I wait until everything is read and completely finished before putting my thoughts to paper … well let’s see if this way is more fun and interactive with what I’m reading and what my thoughts might be. So be prepared for this review to have spoilers.

Reading along and living vicariously through Aurora as she travels along this dating journey to discover Prince Charming I can’t help but get attached to these guys. Brent is perfect with his own adorable son and just like Aurora I can see him as being my BFF … only a male version. LoL! Next we have Wesley who is sexy and confident but has a cocky disposition at times that grates my last nerve but apparently has skills that wouldn’t have me kicking him out of my bed without taking a ride first. And then there is Jackson who is so freaking sweet and romantic but is still in touch with his inner child and can have fun even if it means getting his ass kicked by a girl in mini golf and go karts. See what I mean? How could you not be attracted to these guys? They’re freakin’ … YUMMY!

Well little do I realize while I’m in my lust bubble over Jackson and continue reading Statistic … BAM creep factor is introduced. Someone nefarious is creeping in the background and I am thinking it is the quiet one Jeremy who Aurora has only talking to a few times over the dating site’s messenger service. At this point I am currently 33% into the book so let’s see what the ever awesome Dawn Robertson has in store for us next.

Holy … Shut the Front Door! I am almost 66% finished with Statistic and let me tell you … I am so freaking in love with Jackson! Not only is he romantically sweet while being protective and gentlemanly, dear sweet Jackson is a dirty talker! After this discovery all I can say is two words … OVARY EXPLOSION!

Alrighty enough reviewing for now I’ve got to get back to the ever delectable Jackson and see if his cock really is made of magical wonder.

Son of a biscuit eater! I’m about 75% done and I’m like Whiskey Tango Foxtrot … the person I have suspected to be the mysterious creeper aka Jeremy is actually Jackson’s little brother! Holy freakin’ shite! So wasn’t expecting that Dawn! And now I am at a fork in the road … the person I thought was the creeper might not be the creeper and yet might still be because I have only just discovered this earth shattering news and who I thought was the BFF might actually be the real creeper of this tale. The tension is sky rocketing high here folks and the shit is getting real. So I’m off … on the edge of my seat gnawing my nails down to the quick to see where Dawn is taking me now.

Okay I’m 90% through this book and I couldn’t be more confused … my mind is a complete whirlwind of thoughts that I don’t know which direction is the right one. At first I think there is just one creeper and as the pages turn my thoughts on who that person is has become clear … Mr. BFF. But as I read on I get this feeling that something isn’t right … that me, figuring out that it was Professor Plum in the library with the rope was just too easy of a mystery to solve. So now I think there is a second creeper involved. Let’s continue on and discover what the conclusion of Statistic will reveal.

Holy fuckin’ shit! I have finished Statistic and I couldn’t be more fucking shocked by the ending if I was bit in the ass with a cattle prod. As I sit here with a tear-stained face my mind is totally fuckin blown! Dawn Robertson is known for surprising twists and unexpected turns in her books that I shouldn’t be shaking my head while saying “What the fuck …” right now but damn it is just too unavoidable. I reread the epilogue numerous times because my shocked brain refused to believe what was finally revealed. I know I have dropped some spoilers but I am not revealing the surprise ending … from reading this review you know who I have been rooting for to capture Aurora’s heart but damn Dawn did you have to screw with me like that! If you want to know what the shock value was that made this book my favorite Robertson book by far you are just going to have to buy it and I apologize for the language but my vulgarity just exemplifies the shock factor that my idled brain has found itself to be in right now.

My Review
This book in 8 words of less …

Where to begin? To say I enjoyed this story would be an understatement of epic portions because if I were to really be honest I would admit that I haven’t pulled my eyes away from kinkier reads to allow the enjoyment one would find between the pages of a charmingly sweet Contemporary New Adult Romance in quite a while.

Anywho, this book offers everything you would expect from a budding relationship … the flirty playfulness and the passion filled nights to many heartbreaking situations couples have to face sometimes.

You can’t help but fall in love with the characters from this story. Charlie and Bentley are perfect for each other. They are both well developed characters with colorful personalities. Even when their past causes some hiccups along the way you can’t resist the attachment you feel towards Charlie and Bentley. Besides if the story was all rainbows and my little ponies from beginning to end without any chaos thrown in the mix readers wouldn’t be able to relate … it would feel unrealistic in my opinion.

bad boy4

The one part that just drew me in and brought tears to my eyes (insider’s secret – all it takes for the water works to flow is to witness a man get so choked up with emotions that even he has tears in his eyes) was also the most heartbreaking moment of the whole book … not the fights or the fires or even the crazy stalker bitches (although they provided the necessary suspense to make Take Me Out more interesting) … it was when Charlie and Bentley go for their eleven week check up on their precious gummy bear. Talk about a hot mess … tears just kept coming. I could never imagine how one would survive after experiencing such a life change situation.

Lucky for us readers Dawn brought the love and fun back by tying in the characters love for baseball and each other with the support of their family and friends. I would really enjoy a sequel only this time a touch long and perhaps Charlie and Bentley could get another chance at being parents but this time two gummy bears … seriously how cute would that be … you know it would be to freakin adorable.

So how about it Dawn? Any chance for a second book?

Hey everyone, today is a special day here at Zany PNR Addict. What’s happening you may ask? Well my lovelies we had the opportunity to sit down with Heather Long and pick her brain. This is super exciting because following our game of 20 questions I will be sharing my review of her book Some Like it Royal. The first in her Going Royal Series.

Let give a warm welcome to Heather and see wants hidden …

• What sound or noise tends to drive you nuts?

One Direction. No, I’m not kidding. Eight hours in the car with the Mini, she played it nonstop. I was ready to throw myself out the window.

• What is your least favorite word?

No. Come on, isn’t it everyone’s?

• What profession other than being an author would you like to attempt?

Hum. I have studied law, journalism, and psychology (and not in that order) so probably psychologist.

• What profession would you not want to be caught doing?

Professions don’t bother me, though I figure if someone made me an accountant that would be bad. NUMBERS.

• What city could you get lost in for hours to explore?

All of them. Oh, you mean like lost, lost? Um … all of them.

• What are you reading right now or what books have you had your eye on that you haven’t had time to read?

Reading Sarah MacLean at the moment, and counting it down to the next Patricia Briggs and Nalini Singh.

• What book/s do you urge readers to read?

Heart of Obsidian by Nalini Singh. I will not shut the hell up about it.

• What item must you have with you at all times?

My brain. Trust me, the days I’ve been without it have SUCKED.

• Name one thing about yourself that would surprise most people?

O.o if I tell you then it’s not a SURPRISE!

• What is something you like to collect?

Dust. I mean I must, I have a crapton of it.

• What is the most unique or ugliest item you own and why do you keep it?

I’m really not supposed to say bad things about people.

• If you have to pick one romantic scene or couple to recommend to a first time reader of your books, which or who would it be and why?

The first kiss scene in Some Like it Royal. That scene cracks me up EVERY single time I read it. I think I outdid myself. I agree … my absolute favorite moment!

• Which book of your series has been your most favorite to write and which has been your most frustrating?

They are all my favorites when I write them. Most frustrating? Wanted Alive or Fevered. I swore it was going to be a novella. 100,000 words later, I guess not.

• In your opinion, what makes your books different from others out there?

The characters. These are people I could know or you could. I try to make them real and keep them grounded in what makes us quirky and crazy.

• What are some (if any) of the quirks or habits you find yourself doing when you are writing?

Not sleeping.

• Boxers, briefs or commando?

Oh! I’ll take one man in each please!

• Tattoos or piercings?

• Soft, sensual make out session or throw you up against the wall?

Let me research this to give you the best answer …

• Rough and ready cowboy or billionaire in a sharp suit?

Yes I guess that means she will take one of each. LoL!

• Vampire or Werewolf?

Yes Again, one of each. I mean I would too! LoL!

Well my lovelies I hope you enjoyed yourselves in getting to know Heather a litter better. Now on with the review!

Book Summary (courtesy of GoodReads)

It’s The Role of a Lifetime …

Living out of a car and waiting tables to make ends meet is hardly the stuff of fairy tales. So when a gorgeous man approaches Alyx Dagmar with a wild story about her royal lineage and an even wilder proposition, the aspiring actress is sure he’s got the wrong woman.

Self-made billionaire Daniel Voldakov needs connections before he can expand his software business into Europe. A blue-blooded fiancée would open all the right doors — and Daniel’s certain he can tempt the pretty but penniless Princess Alyxandretta to accept the part she was born to play.

Alyx can’t resist Daniel’s offer, and throws herself into the role. But as the paparazzi fall in love with their “storybook romance,” Alyx finds herself drawn to Daniel in ways she’d never imagined. Are his returned affections true, or all just part of the plan? He’ll do anything it takes to prove his love, and to make her see that the only happily ever after he wants is with her … the real her.

My Review
This book in 8 words of less …

Where to start? To say I love this story is an understatement of epic portions because I haven’t enjoyed a Contemporary Romance of this magnitude in a very long time. Some Like It Royal is a modern day fairy tale come to life in the most unexpected way. The evolution of the main characters in this story are both true to form as it is refreshing. Though we readers know Daniel and Alyx have a shared attraction towards each other the subtly of how Ms. Long approaches these feelings is written naturally with the right amount of sizzle and banter. The witticisms exchanged between Daniel and Alyx are some of the cleverest and inventive lines I’ve read in a long time. One of the most memorable scenes for me and perhaps one among my many favorites is the awkward and clumsy first kiss between Daniel and Alyx. So much fun and good laughs were shared during this chapter.

For your viewing pleasure I was lucky enough to find a clip featuring awkward kisses and the first one is a perfect example of what can be visualized when reading this scene. But wait after the awkwardness is over we get to the good stuff. Kisses like this …

first kiss

Now I can’t leave without mentioning the incredible cast of misfits that compliment Daniel and Alyx’s throughout their journey. Let’s see we have … one character that seems to always have the greatest one liners that makes you laugh so hard you end up holding your diaphragm and wiping tears from your eyes. Another that has you biting your nails because you aren’t sure whether their plans are nefarious or not when it comes to Daniel and Alyx. Then there is the best love-to-hate character that has you wanting to choke slam him minute but ultimately after some time you clandestinely love and finally there is the one character that from the minute you know about him you instantaneously want to know more.

Final Thoughts

This is the first book I’ve ever had the pleasure of reading by Ms. Long and I absolutely adored it! She has created such an amazing world that I never wanted it to end. I can easily see myself reading Some Like it Royal again and again until Ms. Long creates the next installment. May those stories be just as fun and delicious as Daniel and Alyx’s.

My Review
This book in 8 words of less …

Ever since I heard that Reynard was writing a third installment to Gabriel’s Inferno I was beyond excited with euphoria and jubilation! Forget the Christian Grays, Gideon Crosses and Kellan Kyles of the world because Gabriel Emerson is freakin’ GOD when it comes to alpha dominance. His magnetism is just too addictive to contain! Just thinking about him all over again has it hot in here … please excuse me while I fan myself to douse down the flames of my very naughty thoughts. Oh wait, I can’t because Gabriel is like a chocolate truffle, a sinfully delectable morsel that I would devour slowly just to savior his unique flavor and feast on his exquisite deliciousness that would ultimately leave me wanting more. I just want more. I just want more.

From start to finish this book is just absolute awesome sauce! At the beginning we find our couple six months into their marriage trying to make a home living near Harvard which is where Julianne is currently attending and following her dreams to be a Dante Specialist while Gabriel is a professor at Boston University. While married life has been blissfully filled with unbelievably scorching sex reality has Julianne under some pressure. She has made a name for herself in the academic world and has been invited to speak at a conference in England. The strain of this anxiety has her questioning herself but with the support of her friends, among them Paul (oh, how I love you too), her Virgil has her confidence shining through. The time spent in England for this conference is one of my most favorite parts. We see friends and nemeses alike and lots of feelings are expressed through the drama that escalates.

Gabriel and Julianne have given each another strength and compassion needed to heal wounds from their past but when Gabriel expresses his desire to start a family with Julianne some of her fears that aren’t fully forgotten being to surface. Wanting to focus and finish her studies first causes her to develop feeling of guilt and fear of disappointing Gabriel and his happiness. Meanwhile with Gabriel wanting a child of his own he walks a path that has him facing some of his own buried demons in regards to his own bloodline. Doubt can be a fickle bitch and the fear of losing what you love is the heart of this story. Faith and forgiveness to go hand in hand and redemption cannot be won by actions alone.

Final Thoughts

Reynard has made Gabriel and Julianne’s journey both haunting and pleasurable. To forget a love such as theirs is simply unfeasible. I can pretty much state as fact that if you begin this series you will fall for this ensemble of characters as much as I have and anyone would positively agree. Now I would like to thank Mr. Reynard for creating this sacred love story and may my dreams be filled with a delectable Professor Emerson of my own.,

Gabriel-as-SylvainI’m interested in the way literature can help us explore aspects of the human condition – particularly suffering, sex, love, faith, and redemption. My favourite stories are those in which a character takes a journey, either a physical journey to a new and exciting place, or a personal journey in which he or she learns something about himself/herself.

I’m also interested in how aesthetic elements such as art, architecture, and music can be used to tell a story or to illuminate the traits of a particular character. In my writing, I combine all of these elements with the themes of redemption, forgiveness, and the transformative power of goodness.

I try to use my platform as an author to raise awareness about the following charities: Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep Foundation, WorldVision, Alex’s Lemonade Stand, and Covenant House. For more information, see my Twitter account.

Book Summary (courtesy of GoodReads)

Ryan Darwish will never forget the night his senior year of high school when he kissed a very drunk Emma Simonov and lost his heart to her forever. Six years later Ryan finds Emma again, but she’s a different woman than the bossy and joyful girl he used to know. Emma is now a pro-Domme and she makes her living by dominating a very select clientele of submissives at the Kiss of Blue dungeon.

When Emma graduated from college with her teaching degree three years ago she had no idea how hard it would be to find work as a teacher at a decent school. To make matters worse elderly parents both lost their jobs and their pensions in one fell swoop. Out of options, Emma had no choice but to turn her passion into her profession and go pro-Domme. She loves her work, enjoys her clients, but cannot allow herself to fall in love. Monogamous by, nature she knows that if her heart belongs to a man she’ll no longer be able to pro-Domme and without a good paying job her parents will soon be homeless. When Ryan appears in her life she finds herself tempted by the one thing she cannot have – the man of her dreams.

Ryan will do anything to make Emma see that he is the man for her including being everything that she ever wanted in a submissive, but when he begins their relationship with a lie he may never win another night with his reluctant Dominatrix.

My Review
This book in 8 words of less …

With an epic battle warring on in my head over which arc to read next Ann Mayburn’s First Kiss was the battle’s ultimate champion in a long line of extreme competitors. Likely due to the fact that Emma’s Arabian Nights is the first book ever with a FemDom character being the main focal point that I’ve ever had the pleasure of reading. First Kiss was a well-paced, fun and sensual shortie that was filled with just the right amount of alluring naughtiness to make it awesome sauce! Everyone knows my jollies are reserved for powerful alpha dominants of the possessive male variety but I will admit that Ms. Mayburn had me tickled pink with elation knowing I could draw enjoyment from a submissive male with skills like Ryan. If Ryan’s character continues on being as fascinating as he was in First Kiss I can guarantee this chica won’t be tip toeing into the next bad boy but diving in head first to devour each and every morsel laid out before me.

Emma Simonov is a woman with a lot on her plate, struggling to find a job that is more suited to her degree in teaching while trying to support and take care for her retired elderly parents she has no choice but to work as a Pro-Domme at her friend Dungeon. She may want a loving relationship with the perfect man but she put those feelings aside to do what she much for those she loves. This works well for her until Ryan comes back into her life and now after spending a couple days with him she is left feeling confused, happy and heartbroken all at the same time because of what her hearts wants and what her brain tells her she must do to survive.

Ryan Darwish is the perfect combination of heartfelt lover and alpha male deliciousness. The fact that he has loved Emma for years makes his affection and devotion towards her breathtakingly beautiful. He wants to protect and care for her while taking pleasure in making her happy. All seems to be going well for Ryan and Emma even after some confessions are made on Ryan’s behalf about some of his slightly shady stalkerish actions. Although now Ryan is beginning to get a little frustrated with Emma, he can sense that while she may be pleased with the pleasure and satisfaction he has provided her the thought of actually wanting to embrace a blissful and loving relationship with him has her running scared and confused because in Emma’s eyes it just isn’t that easy for her to just let everything go in order to have the happy ending she’s always wanted.

Final Thoughts

Even though I knew from the beginning that First Kiss was going to be somewhat part of a serial and would have some type of cliffhangerish ending I still found myself wrapped up in this FemDom world and its cast of characters especially the delectable and mischievous Justan. So, with the beginning said Ms. Mayburn bring on the next installment and please tell me there will be more Justan added to the crazy passionate ride of Ryan and Emma’s journey!

As I stated in my post for Fantasy Lover I have been going through fills on my PC to clean up some space and in doing this nightmarish task that so desperately needed it I came across some on my very first book reviews that I never shared on this blog. So in honor of continuing my nostalgic reminiscence here is the second book review I decided to write and will share with you all now. Like I’ve mentioned preivously you will come to realize that the length of my reviews tend to out grow themselves along with little tweeks here and there with each new post because I guess I am still toying around with my blogging stlye which I find it to be somewhat comical and hilarious for some bizarre inane reason.

Book Summary (courtesy of GoodReads)

Dear Reader,

Have you ever wanted to know what it’s like to be immortal? To journey through the night stalking the evil that preys on humans? To have unlimited wealth, unlimited power? That is my existence, and it is dark and dangerous. I play hero to thousands, but am known to none. And I love every minutes of it.

Or so I thought until one night when I woke up handcuffed to my worst nightmare: a conservative woman in a button-down shirt. Or in Amanda’s case, one buttoned all the way up to her chin. She’s smart, sexy, witty, and wants nothing to do with the paranormal–in other words, me.

My attraction to Amanda Devereaux goes against everything I stand for. Not to mention the last time I fell in love it cost me not only my human life, but also my very soul. Yet every time I look at her, I find myself wanting to try again. Wanting to believe that love and loyalty do exist.

Even more disturbing, I find myself wondering if there’s any way a woman like Amanda can love a man whose battle scars run deep, and whose heart was damaged by a betrayal so savage that he’s not sure it will ever beat again.

My Review

I’m not sure why I initially put off reading this series, what can I say I’m late when it come to everything, or so it seems. LoL! After I read the very first book (Fantasy Lover) I was hooked and thus have dedicated my time and energy to read them all clear through to the end. But to move this review along in the words of (some guy) I don’t even know I will still quote, “Onward through the fog!” As I continued I found that this book was exactly what I was looking for… Romance, Steamy Scenes, Fighting, Mystery, and Humor all rolled into one book. Oh, and did I mention I love the Greek mythology spin that is added to this series … well, now I did!

The Characters …
I sometimes wonder if I’ll ever get bored by the innocent, self-depreciating girl finding her inner sex goddess in the hands of an alpha male… probably not. I liked Amanda. She is smart, stubborn, and able to handle herself in the face of danger. She’s also fighting to be normal in an abnormal family which I found fun.

To use Amanda’s words, Kyrian is “yummy”. I thought I had seen some tortured pasts, but he was literally tortured physically and emotionally. It really tore me up to see what had been done to him in the past and it explained a lot of why he is the way he is. However, he doesn’t let that stop him from being an extremely nice guy that is fantastic at his job of kicking ass. He also has a sense of humor that I loved, but I can also see how it would drive Amanda nuts.

I really loved Nick’s humor and I’m looking forward to reading his series soon too … even if it’s somewhat of a prequel to the Dark Hunter series.

My Review
This book in 8 words of less …

Cold Blooded was ABS-SO-FREAKIN-LUTELY AMAZING and in my opinion by far the most preeminent release of the Jessica McClain series!! When I was finished I was still tingling with elation from how everything in the book concluded for Jessica and her pack of misfits. TINGLES! That’s how wonderfully mind-blowing this book was. To be honest I didn’t want it to end. I was so engrossed in this book that it was hard for me to except that I had finished it.

Okie doke let’s do a relatively quick recap for the newbies … Jessica McClain is one of a kind, literally, the only full blooded female in her pack, her father is Alpha and long with her brother Tyler they try to protect Jessica as best as they can until all goes to hell. Other Sups from various Sects become aware of who she truly is and want to hunt her down for their own nefarious reasons. Among them are a pack of rogue wolves looking to overthrow the Alpha and just happen to be running with Vampires. After a brutal showdown where Jessica discovers some of her new powers she is left making an outrageous agreement with the Vampire Queen.

This brings us to Hot Blooded where Jessica sets out on a mission to rescue her delicious mate Rourke with the aid of her brother, fellow pack member Danny, two Vampires guides and a very grumpy sarcastic human detective. Along their journey they come across various obstacles that are trying to prevent them from reaching Rourke … killer bats, spiders as big as cats, sea wraiths and possessed goats were just some of the delights they had to deal with. The awesomeness doesn’t end there. Next up is an epic battle with a crazed Lunar Goddess who is hell-bent on keeping Rourke as her slave lover. If that wasn’t enough of a complication Jessica crosses paths with a High Lord Demon who’s there to demand retribution and delivers some startling news … a court date in hell. Muahaha! But you see Jessica’s no naive pup. She manages to temporarily wiggle her way out of that predicament simply to arrive at home to find a very pissed off witch looking for answers because her best friend Marcy and her father’s second in command James are missing.

Now we are up to Cold Blooded and I don’t want to spoil too much but I will tell you that it picks up right where Hot Blooded ended. Two people Jessica cares for are missing and at the same time explosions rock everyone off their feet and into the bushes … well her and Tally end up in the bushes. Not knowing where she should begin Jessica takes a chance on the witches and this is where the action begins. Time is of the essence. With just a few short weeks left until Jessica has to hold up her end of the bargain she made with the Vampire Queen she must figure out why sorcerers are chucking exploding blue orbs of magic at her, why they kidnapped her best friend, and what the hell the sorcerers want with her in the first place. As usually nothing goes as planned and Jessica has to seek help from unlikely sources that even managed to surprise me.

As mush as I love Jessica I have to admit most of my fan girl moments are aimed towards the secondary characters that at times steal Jessica’s thunder. Falling into this camp of misfits are Rourke, Danny, Naomi, Tyler, and shockingly Ray. Out of everyone my heart belongs to Rourke and I couldn’t have been more tickled pink then I was while reading Cold Blooded. My man got the much needed face time he deserves … not that I wouldn’t have enjoyed more but what I did get to witness … oh mama did it get hot in here … excuse me while I fan myself to douse down the flames of my very naughty thoughts. Oh wait, I can’t because Rourke is like a chocolate truffle, a sinfully delectable morsel that I would devour slowly just to savior his unique flavor and feast on his exquisite deliciousness that would ultimately leave me wanting more. I just want more. I just want more.

In addition to what we discover about Rourke, Ray also shares the spotlight in this installment. So many questions are signing around in my head about his character that I don’t even know which one to investigate first. It’s just totally surprising the role his character has taken and by the end of Cold Blooded Ray wormed his way into my heart. I am very interested in the unique path that has been set for him. Take my word for it, if you don’t read this book for anything else you have to read it for the secrets and mysteries that are revealed about not only Ray and Rourke, but Eudoxia the Vampire Queen as well.

When Mrs. Virgas asked if there were any bloggers out there that would be interested in helping her out with a post – apocalyptic dystopian paranormal she had it the works I immediately offered to help because I knew that it was going to be awesome … I mean considering the source of where this book originated … the mind of the wild and wonderful Stella ‘Freakin’ Price. She is one of the zaniest authors I have ever had the opportunity of meeting. She is beyond funny with her witty sarcasm and I love her for it! So much of her personality shines throughout this book that at moments I was seeing her as the feisty heroine or her kick ass sister.

Also I will openly admit that I usually tend to steer away from dystopian/post – apocalyptic based books but in this case I am so glad I didn’t. I have never read a book where the shifters were octopi in origin. Mrs. Virgas took a giant leap into the unknown in regards to the response this book would have among the paranormal community and I am so proud of her for conquering the challenge and creating such an amazing world with an exceptionally well-told story that didn’t come across as overly bazaar or too syfyish. This is by far the best unusual (non – wolf) shifter book I’ve read this year.

Unfortunately for you I’m not putting any spoilers or revealing anything too juicy in my review because I want you to read this book and experience all the breathtaking and exhilarating deliciousness for yourselves so that in the end when you are finished you will be enraptured in the state of wonder that I found myself in when I was reading Eternal Echoes. However, I will part with two of my favorite parts which are both from the heroine Teagan.

Her eyes settled on the skin showing there, the peek of what looked like a tattoo over his right pectoral. And sweet ancestors did he look delicious.

His torso sporting light hair on his arms and under, and if she has seen correctly, a sexy trail leading into his shorts. Though that could have been wishful thinking. She had a thing for a well manicured happy trail. Not so different from human men … at least the top half of him.

Final Thoughts
After finishing this book in the wee early hours of the morning and all I can say is WoW… it was well-paced, fun, intriguing, and uniquely refreshing and original … just ABS-SO-FREAKIN-LUTE AWESOME SAUCE!! My nerves were still tingling from all the events that had occurred during this amazing read. To be honest I didn’t want it to end. I was so engrossed in the book that it was hard for me to except that I finished it. The end had came and passed leaving me distraught because this book was EPIC and now I’m going to go completely batshit bugfuck waiting for the next installment!

Sakura Nakamura and her best friend packed their bags and are travelling around America by car. It’s been mostly work, but the chance for what she wanted most, the pleasure and kinky passion with two men she’d dreamt about, is right there to take.

The Wilson brothers, Ted and Matt, own a cattle ranch in Montana and want their beef in the Japanese market. Hard work is nothing when the woman they want comes to their doorstep and says yes to all they want.

Matt met Saki when he was in Japan connecting with Nakamura Enterprises, an import/export firm. They spent one night heating up the sheets and now she was on their turf. Promises of bondage, ménages and so much more were made if she came to their house and she was there to play.

Being in love and kinky is everything they wanted, but can they have the white picket fence lifestyle as well?

Branded Book 1 is Ride ‘em [bondage, D/s and ménage] and Book 2 is Konnichiwa Cowboy [D/s and Multicultural].

This is a Contemporary Western Erotic Romance + bondage, ménage a trois, D/s and is Multicultural.

When asked to do a cover reveal for Mrs. Tilly’s upcoming release for her Branded series I automatically said I would read the ARC for a review. Well needless to say that was before I discovered it was the third release in the series, not that it was a problem for me and Mrs. Tilly said Giddy Up could be read as a standalone book but gave me the cliff notes version about the main characters from the previous book all the same. My problem was that once she revealed to me that there was a brief encounter with two of the main character from Giddy Up involving a geisha/cowboy fantasy in Konnichiwa Cowboy the decision was set in stone … I just had to get my hands on the first two books of her Branded series. Those of you know me or have read previous reviews that involved a similar situation you probably figured that was a given. What can I say? Given the fact that there was a chance that I could have missed out on something vital I would have just ended up kicking myself in the arse especially missing out on a geisha/cowboy fantasy.

After all that was said and done I am glad I read the first two books before hand because to me book the second book, Konnichiwa Cowboy, works as a prequel to Giddy Up for me. It set the stage for Giddy Up and I also learned some very interesting facts about Japanese culture in regards to geishas and prostitutes in Konnichiwa Cowboy. Sakura and Matt’s story continues in Giddy Up and although it is a fast read it still holds its own as a sizzling red – hot read about lust, love, and forbidden pleasures of the flesh.

Matt Wilson can’t seem to ignore his craving for Sakura Nakamura, a delectable little morsel that not only works for the company he so desperately needs in order to make business at the ranch more successful but she also happens to be the daughter of the owner he needs to do business with. Except there is a slight problem and he may have already screwed the pooch especially when he thinks back to how he spent his last night in Japan.

As Matt struggles to figure things out at the ranch Sakura is stuck back in Japan thinking very lusty thoughts about Matt and what he has to offer … life at the ranch involved in not only the ranch business but his brother, Ted as well. After Sakura spends months of constantly thinking about her hot cowboy Matt she finds a way to make her dreams come to a reality.

Final Thoughts
As Matt, Sakura and Ted’s story continues more and more intriguing characters are brought in to play and all I can say is … I can’t wait to get my grubby little hands of Jon and Molly’s book. It’s going to be hot … plain and simple. Therefore want it now!

On a more personal final thought … break out the ice cubes and multiple pairs of panties because when these Wilson brothers fixate on something they are hell bent and determined to make it happen which naturally only leaves you squirming in your seat and dripping wet with lustful desire.

My Review
This book in 8 words of less …

To recall I remind you that I stumbled upon this series on a whim and accidentally read Inside Out. I didn’t realize until after I had finished reading the aforementioned book that it happened to be the third book of The Brown Siblings series by Lauren Dane. Of course this discovery just happened to clarify some of my confusion. So obviously I had to get the rest of this thrilling and titillating series just so that I could discover and experience these characters from the very beginning. Laid Bare is the beginning of the deliciously written story centered on Erin Brown and the introduction to the Brown siblings and their close-net circle of friends. Continuing on with the saga we are led to Erin’s sexy and emotionally intense brother Brody, the oldest of the Brown siblings. Coming Undone does not disappoint. It proudly continues that fabulous blend of sizzling erotica and sweetly hot romance that attacked and devoured of imaginations in Laid Bare. Coming Undone is a book that I found impossible to put down, which is why I’m awarding it a perfect five star rating and has definitely earn a spot on my keeper shelf of all time favorites, and perhaps someday yours too.

Meet The Characters

Brody Brown is the type of man who is the caretaker for everyone at least for those he loves whether they are family or friend, raising his siblings from the tender age of 17 giving up his hopes and dreams of a promising art career to become the parents that they lost in an accident. You may want to take pity on him or even feel that his live is without intrinsic worth but that is where you would be mistaken because the complete opposite has happened for our hero. Not only has he raised two very successful people, namely his younger sister Erin and their younger brother Adrian, for whom he could not be prouder he also isn’t doing half bad himself. Has a successful and prosperous tattoo artist with a nice home in a friendly community while being surrounded by friends and family life for him isn’t too shabby. All Brody needs is some casual lovin’ ever now and then and life would be perfect. However, fate apparently feels differently for our hero thus enters Elise, her daughter Rennie and an unfortunate car accident.

Elise Sorenson the once infamous ballerina who is trying to escape a horrid past while maintaining the safety of her young daughter Rennie finds herself moving far away in hopes of starting over and establishing a new life that is not only stable but protected from the horrors of their past. Settling in a great neighborhood in Seattle she finds herself living a normal life with her daughter. What more could she ask for? Well, the last thing she wants is a relationship especially with the very sexy, tattooed, motorcycle riding bad boy neighbor from across the street who personifies what fantasies are made of. In fact, while Brody lives inside Elise’s fantasies on a nightly basis and man are they good. Still, Elise just wants a man without complications and what Brody offers fills the bill for Elise. A companionship with no strings attached instead of a relationship with love and forever which works for both of them until Elise’s past comes back to haunt her. Now while Elise is trying to maintain her sanity and her focus on Rennie she doesn’t want to admit that she just might need Brody for more than just a good time. What Elise doesn’t expect is to love him and adore the way he treats her and her daughter. Apparently it seems that healing and love can come in a big inked up package that may just in fact be what she truly desires.

Final Thoughts
Lauren Dane captures every feeling of each character and every situation and brings it to life. This book came alive for me. I found myself smiling when reading certain parts and annoyed at others because the characters and the situations affected me that much. Mainly it was Rennie. She is such a humorously witty and charmingly sweet little girl that pulls at your heart strings. The interaction between the three characters is heartwarming and gratifying.
