My Review
This book in 8 words of less …

For the first time I am trying something new … reviewing a book while I’m reading it. Usually I wait until everything is read and completely finished before putting my thoughts to paper … well let’s see if this way is more fun and interactive with what I’m reading and what my thoughts might be. So be prepared for this review to have spoilers.

Reading along and living vicariously through Aurora as she travels along this dating journey to discover Prince Charming I can’t help but get attached to these guys. Brent is perfect with his own adorable son and just like Aurora I can see him as being my BFF … only a male version. LoL! Next we have Wesley who is sexy and confident but has a cocky disposition at times that grates my last nerve but apparently has skills that wouldn’t have me kicking him out of my bed without taking a ride first. And then there is Jackson who is so freaking sweet and romantic but is still in touch with his inner child and can have fun even if it means getting his ass kicked by a girl in mini golf and go karts. See what I mean? How could you not be attracted to these guys? They’re freakin’ … YUMMY!

Well little do I realize while I’m in my lust bubble over Jackson and continue reading Statistic … BAM creep factor is introduced. Someone nefarious is creeping in the background and I am thinking it is the quiet one Jeremy who Aurora has only talking to a few times over the dating site’s messenger service. At this point I am currently 33% into the book so let’s see what the ever awesome Dawn Robertson has in store for us next.

Holy … Shut the Front Door! I am almost 66% finished with Statistic and let me tell you … I am so freaking in love with Jackson! Not only is he romantically sweet while being protective and gentlemanly, dear sweet Jackson is a dirty talker! After this discovery all I can say is two words … OVARY EXPLOSION!

Alrighty enough reviewing for now I’ve got to get back to the ever delectable Jackson and see if his cock really is made of magical wonder.

Son of a biscuit eater! I’m about 75% done and I’m like Whiskey Tango Foxtrot … the person I have suspected to be the mysterious creeper aka Jeremy is actually Jackson’s little brother! Holy freakin’ shite! So wasn’t expecting that Dawn! And now I am at a fork in the road … the person I thought was the creeper might not be the creeper and yet might still be because I have only just discovered this earth shattering news and who I thought was the BFF might actually be the real creeper of this tale. The tension is sky rocketing high here folks and the shit is getting real. So I’m off … on the edge of my seat gnawing my nails down to the quick to see where Dawn is taking me now.

Okay I’m 90% through this book and I couldn’t be more confused … my mind is a complete whirlwind of thoughts that I don’t know which direction is the right one. At first I think there is just one creeper and as the pages turn my thoughts on who that person is has become clear … Mr. BFF. But as I read on I get this feeling that something isn’t right … that me, figuring out that it was Professor Plum in the library with the rope was just too easy of a mystery to solve. So now I think there is a second creeper involved. Let’s continue on and discover what the conclusion of Statistic will reveal.

Holy fuckin’ shit! I have finished Statistic and I couldn’t be more fucking shocked by the ending if I was bit in the ass with a cattle prod. As I sit here with a tear-stained face my mind is totally fuckin blown! Dawn Robertson is known for surprising twists and unexpected turns in her books that I shouldn’t be shaking my head while saying “What the fuck …” right now but damn it is just too unavoidable. I reread the epilogue numerous times because my shocked brain refused to believe what was finally revealed. I know I have dropped some spoilers but I am not revealing the surprise ending … from reading this review you know who I have been rooting for to capture Aurora’s heart but damn Dawn did you have to screw with me like that! If you want to know what the shock value was that made this book my favorite Robertson book by far you are just going to have to buy it and I apologize for the language but my vulgarity just exemplifies the shock factor that my idled brain has found itself to be in right now.

My Review
This book in 8 words of less …

Where to begin? To say I enjoyed this story would be an understatement of epic portions because if I were to really be honest I would admit that I haven’t pulled my eyes away from kinkier reads to allow the enjoyment one would find between the pages of a charmingly sweet Contemporary New Adult Romance in quite a while.

Anywho, this book offers everything you would expect from a budding relationship … the flirty playfulness and the passion filled nights to many heartbreaking situations couples have to face sometimes.

You can’t help but fall in love with the characters from this story. Charlie and Bentley are perfect for each other. They are both well developed characters with colorful personalities. Even when their past causes some hiccups along the way you can’t resist the attachment you feel towards Charlie and Bentley. Besides if the story was all rainbows and my little ponies from beginning to end without any chaos thrown in the mix readers wouldn’t be able to relate … it would feel unrealistic in my opinion.

bad boy4

The one part that just drew me in and brought tears to my eyes (insider’s secret – all it takes for the water works to flow is to witness a man get so choked up with emotions that even he has tears in his eyes) was also the most heartbreaking moment of the whole book … not the fights or the fires or even the crazy stalker bitches (although they provided the necessary suspense to make Take Me Out more interesting) … it was when Charlie and Bentley go for their eleven week check up on their precious gummy bear. Talk about a hot mess … tears just kept coming. I could never imagine how one would survive after experiencing such a life change situation.

Lucky for us readers Dawn brought the love and fun back by tying in the characters love for baseball and each other with the support of their family and friends. I would really enjoy a sequel only this time a touch long and perhaps Charlie and Bentley could get another chance at being parents but this time two gummy bears … seriously how cute would that be … you know it would be to freakin adorable.

So how about it Dawn? Any chance for a second book?

My Review
This book in 8 words of less …

Ever since I heard that Reynard was writing a third installment to Gabriel’s Inferno I was beyond excited with euphoria and jubilation! Forget the Christian Grays, Gideon Crosses and Kellan Kyles of the world because Gabriel Emerson is freakin’ GOD when it comes to alpha dominance. His magnetism is just too addictive to contain! Just thinking about him all over again has it hot in here … please excuse me while I fan myself to douse down the flames of my very naughty thoughts. Oh wait, I can’t because Gabriel is like a chocolate truffle, a sinfully delectable morsel that I would devour slowly just to savior his unique flavor and feast on his exquisite deliciousness that would ultimately leave me wanting more. I just want more. I just want more.

From start to finish this book is just absolute awesome sauce! At the beginning we find our couple six months into their marriage trying to make a home living near Harvard which is where Julianne is currently attending and following her dreams to be a Dante Specialist while Gabriel is a professor at Boston University. While married life has been blissfully filled with unbelievably scorching sex reality has Julianne under some pressure. She has made a name for herself in the academic world and has been invited to speak at a conference in England. The strain of this anxiety has her questioning herself but with the support of her friends, among them Paul (oh, how I love you too), her Virgil has her confidence shining through. The time spent in England for this conference is one of my most favorite parts. We see friends and nemeses alike and lots of feelings are expressed through the drama that escalates.

Gabriel and Julianne have given each another strength and compassion needed to heal wounds from their past but when Gabriel expresses his desire to start a family with Julianne some of her fears that aren’t fully forgotten being to surface. Wanting to focus and finish her studies first causes her to develop feeling of guilt and fear of disappointing Gabriel and his happiness. Meanwhile with Gabriel wanting a child of his own he walks a path that has him facing some of his own buried demons in regards to his own bloodline. Doubt can be a fickle bitch and the fear of losing what you love is the heart of this story. Faith and forgiveness to go hand in hand and redemption cannot be won by actions alone.

Final Thoughts

Reynard has made Gabriel and Julianne’s journey both haunting and pleasurable. To forget a love such as theirs is simply unfeasible. I can pretty much state as fact that if you begin this series you will fall for this ensemble of characters as much as I have and anyone would positively agree. Now I would like to thank Mr. Reynard for creating this sacred love story and may my dreams be filled with a delectable Professor Emerson of my own.,

Gabriel-as-SylvainI’m interested in the way literature can help us explore aspects of the human condition – particularly suffering, sex, love, faith, and redemption. My favourite stories are those in which a character takes a journey, either a physical journey to a new and exciting place, or a personal journey in which he or she learns something about himself/herself.

I’m also interested in how aesthetic elements such as art, architecture, and music can be used to tell a story or to illuminate the traits of a particular character. In my writing, I combine all of these elements with the themes of redemption, forgiveness, and the transformative power of goodness.

I try to use my platform as an author to raise awareness about the following charities: Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep Foundation, WorldVision, Alex’s Lemonade Stand, and Covenant House. For more information, see my Twitter account.

My Review
This book in 8 words of less …

With an epic battle warring on in my head over which arc to read next Ann Mayburn’s First Kiss was the battle’s ultimate champion in a long line of extreme competitors. Likely due to the fact that Emma’s Arabian Nights is the first book ever with a FemDom character being the main focal point that I’ve ever had the pleasure of reading. First Kiss was a well-paced, fun and sensual shortie that was filled with just the right amount of alluring naughtiness to make it awesome sauce! Everyone knows my jollies are reserved for powerful alpha dominants of the possessive male variety but I will admit that Ms. Mayburn had me tickled pink with elation knowing I could draw enjoyment from a submissive male with skills like Ryan. If Ryan’s character continues on being as fascinating as he was in First Kiss I can guarantee this chica won’t be tip toeing into the next bad boy but diving in head first to devour each and every morsel laid out before me.

Emma Simonov is a woman with a lot on her plate, struggling to find a job that is more suited to her degree in teaching while trying to support and take care for her retired elderly parents she has no choice but to work as a Pro-Domme at her friend Dungeon. She may want a loving relationship with the perfect man but she put those feelings aside to do what she much for those she loves. This works well for her until Ryan comes back into her life and now after spending a couple days with him she is left feeling confused, happy and heartbroken all at the same time because of what her hearts wants and what her brain tells her she must do to survive.

Ryan Darwish is the perfect combination of heartfelt lover and alpha male deliciousness. The fact that he has loved Emma for years makes his affection and devotion towards her breathtakingly beautiful. He wants to protect and care for her while taking pleasure in making her happy. All seems to be going well for Ryan and Emma even after some confessions are made on Ryan’s behalf about some of his slightly shady stalkerish actions. Although now Ryan is beginning to get a little frustrated with Emma, he can sense that while she may be pleased with the pleasure and satisfaction he has provided her the thought of actually wanting to embrace a blissful and loving relationship with him has her running scared and confused because in Emma’s eyes it just isn’t that easy for her to just let everything go in order to have the happy ending she’s always wanted.

Final Thoughts

Even though I knew from the beginning that First Kiss was going to be somewhat part of a serial and would have some type of cliffhangerish ending I still found myself wrapped up in this FemDom world and its cast of characters especially the delectable and mischievous Justan. So, with the beginning said Ms. Mayburn bring on the next installment and please tell me there will be more Justan added to the crazy passionate ride of Ryan and Emma’s journey!

My Review
This book in 8 words of less …

Let’s start off by saying that I have been yearning to read this book ever since I laid eyes on the cover and discovered that the story revolves around ex-military men and a tattoo parlor. Sexy, alpha, muscular men with tattoos … what’s not to love! So color me tickled pink with elation when I received an email granting me an early edition arc … Happy Dance!

Katy Perry Happy Dance

As I continue to devour page after page … color me surprised when the book didn’t feature as much tattoo action has I would have liked. However, Ms. Kaye earns her praise back with an extremely mouth-watering freehand drawing scene with Nick and Becca. Hidden message being … I want more, I just want more.

Hard As It Gets first introduces us to our story’s heroine … Becca Merritt. She’s feisty, passionate and one tough cookie but her back story is no picnic. After the loss of her mother her sorrow and heartache continues when her older brother dies due to a drug overdose. Then as time passes the poor girl loses her father who was a Colonel for the Army’s Special Forces Unit. Now all the family she has left is her younger brother Charlie who just happens to be missing. Becca is determined to save her brother by any means necessary even if her journey is lead by the words found in a cryptic message.

That cryptic message leads us to Nick Rixey, an ex Special Forces hottie who isn’t just tall, dark and delicious but jaded by dishonor and betrayal left living life day to day tormented by emotionally unhealed wounds that are darkening his soul as time goes by. The humiliation Nick suffers from falls to the hands of his former team leader, Colonel Frank Merritt … once a trusted mentor now just a lifeless nemesis. So needless to say when Becca Merritt walks through the doors of Hark Ink looking for help and answers he’s quick to turn his back solely because of her nomenclature. But despite his hatred towards her father his scruples won’t let up and all to soon Nick realizes that Becca is in far more trouble than either of them may have known when this suspense-ridden adventure began.

Hard As It Gets

Final Thoughts
As Nick and Becca track down lead after lead clues aren’t the only things surface … trust issues, inner demons, heightened suspense and sparks of sexual tension reveal a story that is well-paced, intensely passionate and sizzling with heat.

With the addition to the rest of Nick’s surviving Special Forces team, the crew of Hard Ink Tattoo and one unexpected fur ball Kaye does an amazing job in setting the scene and pulling this group of misfits together. I am extremely excited to see what is in store for this diverse group as the adventure continues in Hard As You Can.

My Review
This book in 8 words of less …

When Mrs. Virgas asked if there were any bloggers out there that would be interested in helping her out with a post – apocalyptic dystopian paranormal she had it the works I immediately offered to help because I knew that it was going to be awesome … I mean considering the source of where this book originated … the mind of the wild and wonderful Stella ‘Freakin’ Price. She is one of the zaniest authors I have ever had the opportunity of meeting. She is beyond funny with her witty sarcasm and I love her for it! So much of her personality shines throughout this book that at moments I was seeing her as the feisty heroine or her kick ass sister.

Also I will openly admit that I usually tend to steer away from dystopian/post – apocalyptic based books but in this case I am so glad I didn’t. I have never read a book where the shifters were octopi in origin. Mrs. Virgas took a giant leap into the unknown in regards to the response this book would have among the paranormal community and I am so proud of her for conquering the challenge and creating such an amazing world with an exceptionally well-told story that didn’t come across as overly bazaar or too syfyish. This is by far the best unusual (non – wolf) shifter book I’ve read this year.

Unfortunately for you I’m not putting any spoilers or revealing anything too juicy in my review because I want you to read this book and experience all the breathtaking and exhilarating deliciousness for yourselves so that in the end when you are finished you will be enraptured in the state of wonder that I found myself in when I was reading Eternal Echoes. However, I will part with two of my favorite parts which are both from the heroine Teagan.

Her eyes settled on the skin showing there, the peek of what looked like a tattoo over his right pectoral. And sweet ancestors did he look delicious.

His torso sporting light hair on his arms and under, and if she has seen correctly, a sexy trail leading into his shorts. Though that could have been wishful thinking. She had a thing for a well manicured happy trail. Not so different from human men … at least the top half of him.

Final Thoughts
After finishing this book in the wee early hours of the morning and all I can say is WoW… it was well-paced, fun, intriguing, and uniquely refreshing and original … just ABS-SO-FREAKIN-LUTE AWESOME SAUCE!! My nerves were still tingling from all the events that had occurred during this amazing read. To be honest I didn’t want it to end. I was so engrossed in the book that it was hard for me to except that I finished it. The end had came and passed leaving me distraught because this book was EPIC and now I’m going to go completely batshit bugfuck waiting for the next installment!
